I’m so looking forward to this Japanese sci-fi flick. It looks like live-action anime, done right.
I attack the darkness! This is funnier if you actually ARE a gaming geek. heh.
If yer an avid

href="http://xeni.net/" target="_blank">Xeni fanboi), you probably
already know about this, but for those you who don’t:
Xeni Jardin (BoingBoing editor, WIRED contributing writer, etc etc)
swung a chance to take a zero-G plane ride. One of the first times this
has been offered commercially in the United States. She went for WIRED
and NPR, but of course has a
href="http://www.boingboing.net/2004/09/15/_xeni_flies_zero_g_1.html"
target="_blank">blog entry over at BoingBoing where she
describes the experience. (There’s actually 10 entries, and that’s the
10th. It’s the one that actually describes her experience.) It’s a
great read if you’re into this sort of thing.
Oh, and also… she got to meet Buzz Aldrin. Doctor Buzz fucking Aldrin. Yeah…
I really like this new Momo+Moto motorcyle helmet. I looks like a fighter helmet and it has a built-in bluetooth headset. Of course, I think the prospect of taking a call while riding is scary as hell… but I can see making a quick call while stopped. Not having to remove the helmet would be handy.
My only aesthetic nitpick is the “MOMO” along the top of the helmet. It’s designed to look like a verticle racing strip I suppose, and that’s great from the three-quarter angle that the photo is from. However, I think from the other side, it would read “OWOW”, which is not a great confidence builder on a helmet, or “OEOE” from the front… which is just plain confusing.
This indie movie looks excellent. Very interesting. Check out the trailers.
Got to try to find time to get down to Cinema 12 in SJ. Yeah. Like that’s gonna happen. I hope the experience on DVD is good. hehe.
Today’s strip is genius and frighteningly accurate.
Today’s Sinfest nearly made me spit SoBe Green Tea on my Powerbook. One of these days, I’m going to be forced to sue Tatsuya for repairs, I just know it.
Avast, ya ‘net-lubber! That’s right, Talk Like A Pirate Day is coming up soon. It’s September 19th. Don’t forget. To help understand the importance of this international holiday, read Dave Barry’s article about it.
